Deadline: 7 February 2017
CAP is the international Prize for Contemporary African Photography awarded annually since 2012. Each year five winners are selected by an internationally-sourced panel of judges, enabling the promotion of African photography worldwide and helping to avoid geographically and culturally one-sided views of the portfolios. John Fleetwood has been a member of the judging panel since 2014.
Each of the five awardees have the chance to participate in an artist residency and will be featured by many of the Cap Prize media partners.
CAP Prize raises the winners' international exposure and builds a high level network for future projects. The wining portfolios have been exhibited in collaboration with a series of international photograph festivals since 2012.
