Opening: 5 February 2019
Duration: 6 February - 5 March 2019.

Five Photographers. A tribute to David Goldblatt” reflects on this world-renowned photographer and South African icon’s contribution to photography by looking at a new generation of photographers. This exhibition, one of the last projects that Goldblatt worked on, was developed as a tribute exhibition by the French Institut of South Africa to celebrate Goldblatt’s retrospective exhibition at the Centre Pompidou, Paris in Feb-May 2018. David Goldblatt and John Fleetwood curated the exhibition.

Previously exhibited at the Alliance Française, Johannesburg, South Africa in May 2018, “Five Photographers. A tribute to David Goldblatt” includes a powerful series of work by each of the photographers: Alexia Webster(SA), Jabulani Dhlamini(SA), Mauro Vombe(Mozambique) and Pierre Crocquet(SA). The exhibition title references David as another photographer.
