'Of Substance' at photo basel

On 28 April 21, Photo: director John Fleetwood joined Stella Nantongo (coordinator, Uganda Press Photo Award) and Paul Geraghty (chair, Gallery of Photography Ireland) in conversation. The talk Photo Awards: Who are the Beneficiaries? formed part of the programme for the online showcase Award Winning African Photography - photo basel Takes a Closer Look. Watch the full conversation below: 

At the invitation of the CAP Contemporary African Photography prize, Photo: has showcased Of Substance, curated by John Fleetwood and featuring the work of photgraphers Eric Gyamfi, Thembinkosi Hlatshwayo, Jansen van Staden and Mauro Vombe. The overall exhibition includes offerings from the Contemporary African Photography Prize, Edition PopCap, The Ugandan Press Photo Award, and FOTEA.
