POP-UP EXHIBITION: democraSEE ABIDJAN
On the 29 May 2021 a pop-up exhibition of participant work was held at Museé des Cultures Contemporaines Adama Toungara in the suburb of Abobo, Abidjan. The exhibition displayed work created by participants of the democraSEE ABIDJAN workshop conducted by John Fleetwood with Ananias Léki Dago.
Museé des Cultures Contemporaines Adama Toungara
Situated in the suburb of Abobo, Abidjan, Museé des Cultures Contemporaines Adama Toungara is a cultural centre dedicated to African Contemporary Culture. Workshop participants visited exhibitions at the museum and were able to display their work in a curated exhibition of workshop outcomes and engage with the public.

The democraSEE workshop is a 10-day photography encounter in Abidjan to encourage new photography stories and discussions on issues relating to how we understand our changing world and the changes within photography. Presented by Photo: and the Goethe-Institut, the workshop is facilitated by John Fleetwood with Ananias Léki Dago (Les Rencontres du Sud).
