Catchupa Factory Photographers residency in Mindelo, Cabo Verde

The Catchupa Factory initiative is an educational and artistic creation program in the format of artist residency, dedicated to emerging artists and photographers from the Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOP), Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé e Príncipe, Angola and Mozambique.

The residency will be led by South African photographer and educator Michelle Loukidis. John Fleetwood will take part of the selection and critique team.

The initiative is made possible thanks to the financing of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Portugal) and Ministério da Cultura e das Indústrias Criativas (Cabo Verde), and our partners Centro Nacional de Arte, Artesanato e Design (Cabo Verde), Universidade de Cabo Verde, Centro Cultural do Mindelo (Cabo Verde), Camões – Centro Cultural Português do Mindelo, Colectivo Pés Descalços (Angola), Ci.CLO Photography Biennial (Portugal), Terra Lodge Hotel and Guest House Soncent.
