CLPA News 2020 #1 Special Covid-19 Issue

CLPA News 2020 #1

This special edition of the CLPA newsletter deals with the Covid-19 Pandemic and how it affects our worlds and the world of photography. Questioning the futures of photography, of education and of platforms, the CLPA members and external contributors share their insights and resourceful information on managing the effects of the pandemic to assist institutions, practitioners and freelancers alike.

Jacques Nkinzingabo, Rwanda, is the guest editor for this first issue. In addition to the teaching and training activities from members, there is also a Guide to Online Teaching with tips and suggestions received from all members.

The CLPA (Centres of Learning for Photography in Africa) newsletter was established in 2016 with the support of the Goethe-Institut, initially as a closed newsletter for network members to keep abreast with photography education, related activities and developments across Africa. Photo: currently spearheads the CLPA newsletter as the main editor with rotating guest editors from CLPA’s member institutions.

This CLPA Newsletter was supported by Photo:, Prince Claus Fund, Goethe-Institut Johannesburg and The Nlele Institute. We thank all contributors for their valuable input.
